Apples in the making

Eventually the sun appeared this morning but the brisk wind remained all day.

We walked at Emsworth this morning where I treated myself to a lemon Bakewell tart from the bakery. The sea was out so there wasn’t any sailing taking place although we noticed some hardy rowers working their way from Langstone into the strong headwind. Progress looked slow and exhausting .

This is one of the trees filled with apple blossom in the community orchard, where we walked this afternoon. The plum and cherry blossoms are now past their best.
