A little trek down the estuary
Today Ann worked until 3.30pm and when she came home I was lying flaked out on the sofa! she said, 'Trixie, I want to go to Asda so I'll take you for a walk down the estuary first.' I was very happy to hear that because there are lots of prickly bushes on the estuary walk and guess what lives in prickly bushes?................. bunnies. Yay! Unfortunately today I didn't see one single bunny. Booohooo!!
However, I was a little bit naughty. Do you want to know what I did?........................ I spotted a fisherman sitting down at the waters edge so I went zooming off to see if he had any fish for me to eat. He didn't, but I found a slice of bread lying next to him so I gobbled up that. And then I just hung around him to see if he might give me something else. He didn't. Ann was calling me to come back but I didn't want to, until I was completely sure he had nothing else for me. Ann was very cross with me. She said that fishermen needed peace and quiet to fish and as she was shouting for me to come back, he wasn't getting peace and quiet. And then when I went into good dog mode and zoomed back to Ann, she clipped me back onto my lead because she said I hadn't come back quick enough.
…....................Sometimes life is very unfair for a little Collie dog.
