By the sea by the sea…

First thing Penny rang and said bring wellies, bring jumpers it’s pouring here on the Isle of Wight but the Solent worked its magic and by the time we got there the sun was starting to shine.  We even had lunch in the garden. 

Because of the tides we walked on arrival,  down Seagrove beach and on to the much quieter Priory Bay.  Back for lunch of fish pie, salad and then the rhubarb and blueberry compote I brought along, with strawberries that Annie brought.  We lounged in the garden chatting before catching the 5.45 hover home. An excellent day and we were sleepy with sea air in the evening.
