Egg hunt
We’ve had a lovely day. The family (minus Luke who was working) arrived around 2 and suddenly the sun came out. Consequently the daughters decided having a glass of champagne in the garden was a better idea than walking to the rolly-pollies to roll eggs. Ella and Thomas took Sandy the lurcher on a 1.5 hour walk up through the woods and onto the moor and home while Nathaniel and James played a Minecraft game involving building a bridge and hide in the wood above the garden.
After tea the daughters hid the eggs around the garden and they did the annual egg hunt - children are pictured with their haul.
It was so nice that it was warm enough to be outside.
Mr C and I have escaped for a night in the van but I’ll have to be back in the house early to get the oven as hot as it goes for the 3.7kg shoulder of lamb (£63) to go in. Then it gets turned down low for 5 hours.
