Rural idyll?

Smithers and I were very tired after our busy day entertaining the family yesterday. We’ve had a quiet day today, but did manage to get out for a very pleasant walk this afternoon. It was only our usual route – along Warner’s Path beside the Green, and back through the Harts Grove estate, but the sound of the birdsong was magnificent, and the air was scented with spring blossom and flowers.

This shot looks like a rural idyll but in fact it was taken on Warner’s Path, with busy Woodford High Road just behind those trees on the other side of the Green. It was so lovely to see the Queen Anne’s Lace coming out.
