Musing of a Lady

Easter Monday

Little Man and I had a slow start to our day. He woke up at around 6 o'clock and spent a few hours cuddled up with me. We came down stairs and spent the day indoors. Little Man has an unhappy tummy and so there were more nappy changes than normal, but otherwise he's been fine. The weather has been typical for spring, lots of rain, so we stayed inside. Since it's a public holiday, there isn't any buses running through Driebruggen. I also didn't fancy going for a walk and risk getting drenched.

When I checked my phone this morning, my social media was full of news about the news that Pope Francis had died this morning. I'm not Roman Catholic, but it's a big deal for the world Catholics, as he was the head of their church. The funeral will take place within the next week, and then preparations for conclave will begin, which will probably take a couple of days. Conclave will result in a new head of the Roman Catholic Church. I remember the conclave and the media attention that generated back in 2013 when Pope Benedict XV resigned.

This pigeon was sitting on the fence just outside the back door and just sat on there for a few moments, looking at me, while I took a photo or two but he didn't let me closer than the doorway, with the door open. I've seen a lot more pigeons around, due to the warmer weather.
