Ruby!

TWO walks round the Links today (5,051 steps, a poor effort). My knee/leg/back was particularly achey today. That's my excuse...

In between the walks, I decided to donate my Easter egg to Mary  (Extra) - 
a) I'm on a diet and wanted to remove temptation and 
b) I haven't visited for ages and felt guilty.

We sat and had a good chat, mainly about holidays and travel. Oh, and ailments and growing old... Mary has done a lot of travelling in her younger days. Archie was very patient, just glaring up at me now and again, with his 'You said we were going a WALK!' look. But he was happy to keep vigil out of the glass door, hoping to see someone walking by so that he could bark his head off and chase them away. Which happened once.

We then went round the Links a second time, same old smells, I would think, but he was happy. When we came back we met a VERY CUTE wee schnauzer puppy, new to the neighbourhood. In fact, new to the world! Ruby is only 11 weeks old. Archie is 11 years old. They became friends, though Archie barked all the way across the road to meet her, which was quite terrifying for the wee soul (and, possibly, her mum) though I knew it was a friendly, excited bark... Hope we meet her lots. (Archie was black and white like that when he was a puppy.)
