Spittal Beach Groynes - Lino Print
That 255 character limit on the tags is quite annoying when one has typed a nice long description ... and lost all the text - twice :-)
My blip is one of Gill's linocut prints from our trip to Northumberland last September - these are the groynes on Spittal Beach. See extra for the original photograph.
Printed on her Ritualis Press which comes from the Czech Republic - there is a good short video here which shows the process and is probably easier to follow than a long textual description from me :-)
Lets just say the results are very good, consistent, and I'm glad I persuaded her to buy the A3 sized version.
In any event - I know you all prefer seeing Gill's art work to my photography :-)
Photographed in HiRes so we can make reduced size prints for cards etc - the original is almost A4 size.
Midlands blippers might like the exhibition currently on at Photiq in Leamington. The photographs are all portraits, some studio, some ad-hoc but all very good and the way they are arranged is very good too. Photiq is a small gallery and always a joy to visit.
