Chicken Logs

I bid farewell to my friendly hosts of the last six days this morning. My accommodation has been small but perfectly formed. I now know how to light a log fire, and I am taking chicken eggs with me, so this image seems appropriate.

I headed to Mounts Bay, and ( the tide being in all day) took a boat to St Michael’s Mount. Really interesting. I scrambled around the garden, which is in effect one huge rockery with exotic succulents growing from every crevice. One of the most fabulous gardens I have ever visited. Then a tour around the house - I learnt from them this morning that my hosts son cleans the 320 foot long chimneys. That’s some job.

I then returned by boat and carried on to Newlyn. I walked around the fishing harbour, home to Englands largest fishing fleet, and then had a late lunch at the Art Gallery.

Finally a trip to a supermarket in Penzance before I carried on to join my sister in law and her husband (and dogs) at the next accommodation.

I’ve added a photo or two to extras temporarily.
