Oglebay Tulip Fest
We had rain this morning. We decided to go to town after breakfast. One of the neighbor’s young cows had gotten out of the fence. Our BIL herded it back through the gate. It hadn’t escaped again by the time we got home. First stop was Menard’s, a multipurpose store. I got bird seed, Ghirardelli candy for my mother and blackberry jelly for hubby. We were all hungry and chose to have wings for a change. I substituted broccoli for fries and got a 10 calorie dry rub for the wings so it wasn’t a horrible diet lunch. Then we went to look at the tulips. We were a little late in the season but found loads of suitable gardens. They planted 250,000 bulbs. My BIL took the center shot. My sister is still coughing but she is so much better. We stopped at the grocery store. I picked up groceries hubby will need when he arrives on Monday. He and Bobby are loving tent life and the varied music being played at the festival. I am glad. We are enjoying the peace and tranquility at the farm. We’ll have another salad for dinner. My sister plans to make a fresh fruit salad as well. I have been getting to your journals as cell connectivity allows. Caught up with a few when we had service in town. Wishing you a fabulous weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Spring unlocks the flowers to paint the laughing soil.” – Bishop Reginald Heber
