Wales
This is just out of the door of our cottage, somewhere near Machynlleth…
It’s the best appointed Airbnb I have ever stayed in. There’s dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid, kitchen rolls, nightlights, leather sofas, deep freeze, large tv, Wi-Fi, wood stove…….wine rack!
The journey over was very straightforward for us, and we came past Lake Bala through lovely oak woodlands.
Bonnie has a secure garden to potter around, with lambs on the other side of the fence.
Helen and Chris arrived soon after us, and we had some wine (with supper!), and then finally we tried our Brie! Everyone was very complimentary, it has ripened very nicely and the rind is just as eatable as the inside. I thought it was just a little too salty, that is quite a difficult one to get right as the salt is lost to some extent as the whey drains out. We have another quarter to eat, so we will give it a few minutes days to ripen further. Assuming we survive the night!
