Pet Show & Summer in Nashville
(27.4.25)
It’s a busy day today! The first thing was to get G to the clinic to have her dressing changed. It’s been three days since the last one. All is going well with the healing, and looking good. G is very happy that the new dressing isn’t as tight as the previous one.
We drove to the Pet Show at DWTC from there. G needs to get some photos of the stands and attendance. I took my camera as well to help get a few detail shots, especially of pet food.
We got home for lunch and a nap before heading out again, this time to the other side of town (Media City) for the Summer in Nashville show. It’s a country music festival and it was amazing to see so many people in Stetsons and cowboy boots – both men and women!
The show started at 2 PM, but we had decided it was way too hot to be outdoors at this time of year. It was a good decision. By the time we got there, the sun was going down and we had a beautiful evening. The breeze was beautiful. As for the show itself, there were two stages with various acts, including a Shania Twain and Dolly Parton tribute. The food trucks were an all-American affair. We opted for a brisket burger. It went down well, especially with the Budweisers we got courtesy of a kind couple who gave us their free beer vouchers as soon as we walked in!
Seating was very limited, so we didn’t hang around too long, missing the Dolly Parton tribute act. We were home before 10, which helped greatly for the very early start that we have tomorrow. We learned later that she wasn't very good. We have a very early start tomorrow.
