Ajuga/Carpet Bugle

We are having a somewhat quiet Sunday. Everyone slept in. We called our mother after breakfast. She was with our sister attending a Confirmation reception for her great granddaughter. We researched how to smoke a turkey breast. My BIL prepared the new smoker for its initial use. It sure smells good when you open the front door. He mowed the grass and is now installing the front rain barrel. They use rain water and drip hoses to keep their plants moist between visits. I had Sugar duty. She pulls me all around the property to see what wild animals have visited. At least I get plenty of steps each day. This beautiful purple ground cover is in one of the front gardens. I’ve been out three times to get a shot at the right angle to include our bright blue sky. It just doesn’t work so this is what I chose. I started a cross stitch project for my granddaughter Lauren. She bought me a package with several small projects. My sister is painting the rain barrel that sits on the back deck. She started that project during the winter. Guess we all have things that keep us busy. Hubby’s music festival ends today but it will be too late to drive here. He will break camp tomorrow morning. Brooklyn’s game today ended in a 0-0 tie. Kim said B had a great game as goal keeper. Parker’s team won their game 12-0. His high school lacrosse team is a lot of fun to watch. Wishing you an enjoyable end of your weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “Warning: Purple flowers may cause excessive daydreaming.” - flick.social
