Today's the day ...................... to walk fast

I've just had an hour of the best fun it's possible to have standing up - or, in this case - walking fast.

Yes, tonight it was my first practice with the re-formed Women's Walking Football at the St Cuthbert Wanderers FC ground in Kirkcudbright.  Readers of this journal might remember that I used to go back in 2023.  It was good fun then too but there weren't enough of us girls to make it a viable proposition - and eventually it had to stop.

But this evening, there were ten of us - enough for a five-a-side game.  They are such a friendly bunch (see extra) and although I only knew Cindy, the coach before I went, by the end of the session I felt as if I'd known them all for ever.  

Looking forward to next week already ................. !
