Worm Eating Warbler
Another really quiet day on the farm. My sister was the first one up, suffering from leg cramps. She decided to work on her next project. They have two high top tables in the “garage”/game room. She is painting one and making a picture collage on top. I am sure it will be a treasure when she is finished. The temps were cooler after our two storms last night. I sat one the back deck to try to get a signal with pitiful results. Our BIL worked on his riding lawn tractor. Hubby and I cleaned the floors (everyone has tracked grass inside). We have no need to cook with turkey, pulled pork and brisket leftovers. After lunch, I went back outside. This poor birdie had hit the glass window and was temporarily stunned. We took a few photos. When I went around to get a different view, it flew away. Seek says it is a worm eating warbler. Who knows. This afternoon, we rode to the Adeline Bridge. We get our sea glass around that creek. The men got there first and decided the creek is still too high for much exploring. We left our walking sticks home so we considered their decision a blessing. They gave us what few pieces they found. We scouted out our wild flower prospects for tomorrow’s blip. I think we found at least one new one. The guys continued on their journey; we came back so I could write my journal. We are having salads for dinner; I should help cut up the ingredients. Many hands make light work. Wishing you help when you need it. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting.
“Hearken to yon pine warbler
Singing aloft in the tree;
Hearest thou, O traveller!
What he singeth to me?” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
