Muguet

I managed to encourage a couple of lily of the valley buds to bloom for May Day. I'll have to start earlier next year. Despite last night from choir seeing the group of young folk all dressed up and ready for Beltane I did not climb the hill. I was awake around dawn but confused thought it was later.

But I didn't swim. I'd already decided that last night. Discovered the spare bed bedding needed washed so there was a rush to get it done and out to dry before I headed to town.

First stop was Central Library to ask about bus passes. There was an interesting display in the foyer about the bombing of Edinburgh. I have realised Marchmont was bombed.

Then to the NMS for week 2 of Georgian Scotland. After I managed this week to have lunch at the Festival Theatre. It wasn't as warm and sunny today so there's was no rush to get home.

When I did get back I moved some of the lights, to the rowan, and planted up some more pots but the sun was struggling through and I was tired so I sat in the sun and sewed.

When they close built up I can't inside too get the house ready for the weekend and ended up paying 'hunt the pillow'. S hadn't noticed it was stuck inside a duvet cover. This is what happens when you don't match your bedding sets.

Then down to the Manor to put down the rubber mat, read the meters and look at phones, and of course speak to Mum. We went over the arrangements for next week, a number of times.

Ate but did not cook. Got an update about Inverurie. The funeral (C's m in l, aged 100+) is Wednesday afternoon so I think I may go. Finally watched the programme of memories of folk who were in WW2. Mum laughed when I told her there's to be a 2 minute silence on 8th to thank veterans.
