Best Phut Phorward
This morning I finished work two hours late after completing a training course. That was 'a lot' of hours in one go and needless to say I zonked immediately upon arriving home.
Waking in the afternoon there was bath, GP telephone appointment, a blow-dry, a vegan cup cake (thank you eldest) and thoughts of tea.
An Indian takeaway was decided upon and whilst collecting it I parked in an unassuming side street that houses a Quickfit workshop on one side & a Starbucks on the other. Keenly observing the pavement as you do (don't you too?!) I noticed the workshop entrance had these stone dropped curbstones. Olde Mappinge reveals that much of Elizabeth Street was lost to the M67 in the late '70s and would have consisted of terraced houses, including some of the now very rare back to back variety...crammed in like sardines!
