D drove us to Perthshire this morning, stopping first at Dunkeld. The sun was out for most of the time and we enjoyed coffee and cake at the Aran bakery- very busy and delicious- a potter around the town and a gentle walk along the river Tay. There were lots of native bluebells and cowslips in full flower- beautiful. I really like the river, and was quite surprised that I couldn’t remember coming here at all. I think maybe I haven’t been before- though I have been to The Hermitage a couple of times. From there we went up to Aberfeldy and browsed the shops etc, finding some possible dining chairs for D, and ended up having a late lunch in Fika- very tasty. Came home via a Taste of Perthshire (disappointing) and Loch Leven larder. .
