Caerketton Craigs and the T-Wood

A very cold start to the day, but sunny. A wee daunder around the park after changing the bedding. Very quiet in the park, a lot of people are away. This is because the Bank Holiday, in Edinburgh at least, is followed by a school in-service day. Once home, I put the hedge trimmer together and test the batteries before morning coffee. After morning coffee, I start work on reducing the height of the hedge in the front garden. Hard work when your bones are connected together with screws and metal rods.

After lunch, partner and I head up to Swanston. A bit more cloud than in the morning, so quite cool. The sun does appear for a while, but disappears just in time for weekly blip of Caerketton Hill. The trees in the T-Wood have all burst in to leaf since last week. Another holiday weekend, so a lot of tourist visiting the Highland cattle near the village. We carry on around the loop, and there are a few light spits and spots of rain. There are views of munros to the west, but they are quite grey as there isn't much sunshine. Still, a lovely walk, and nice to get home and make a start on my second easter egg. After coffee is when the sun makes an appearance.
