Handmade

Well, it's a start! I went to La Redorte this morning to pick up my pottery creations from Frédérique. This bowl didn't turn out as bright as I would have liked, but the colours available were limited. Anyway it will work as a fruit bowl. Extra: one of my bookends serving its purpose on my TBR shelf. 

We were invited to S and T's for dinner this evening, along with C and S, whom we haven't seen for ages. We took along a bottle of fizz because this afternoon we went to the notaire to sign an agreement to sell our former office in Lézignan. This was the renovation project from hell in 2008, but is now rented out as three apartments. We now have to wait for completion, and then we can seriously think about a hopefully much less misguided project.

Topics of discussion over dinner unfortunately included Trump, Farage, the cleanliness or otherwise of French public toilets compared to other countries, how bad the food on French trains is, hernias ... luckily we eventually managed to change to more palatable subjects! It was a pleasant evening despite this, home before midnight.
