I was up at 5 but not enthused about going out with my camera on this cloudy, grey morning. I dawdled until 6:30.

I decided my tour of duty would be Tranquille. I stopped to overlook the wetlands pond. Everything looks depressingly grey this morning. 

I drove to the end of the road and positioned myself to observer the osprey nest. At first I saw nothing moving. My heart sank as I imagined something had happened to the mating pair. I watched for a long time before a head popped up. I waited to see more than just a head, got my shot and drove off. 

I made the turn past the airport and paused to look east to my mountains beyond the Brocklehurst neighbourhood. I stopped at the edge of the airport to get a shot of the Cpt. Jenn Casey memorial before heading home with my breakfast. 

I have a fellow arriving sometime this morning to install shutters on my living room windows. If he can complete the job today I should after some photos for tomorrow.
