Damsels or Dragons?
Here's what could be a couple of red damselflies. In the extra is possibly a chaser? I have no idea - just been trying to identify them.
These were on my pond late this morning after I returned from swimming.
I did a very stupid thing just before I took these photos. I made myself a lovely black coffee - ground the beans and made it in the cafetiere and treated myself to a chocolate covered ginger biscuit as I'd done quite a lot of exercise this morning. I then carried it up on a tray to the pond so I could sit down for 5 minutes. I had a hand-hoe in my other hand and just before I arrived at the bench I spotted some weeds so started to hoe them - forgetting about the coffee on the tray in my other hand! Of course it all slid off and onto the ground - not a large fall as the pond is on a raised area and I hadn't yet gone up the steps, so the mug didn't break. However I had no coffee left and a soggy biscuit. So I sat down with a glass of water instead and felt sorry for myself. Clive would have laughed and said "Sit down darling, I'll make you another one." It's silly occasions like that, that are difficult.
I visited Clive this afternoon but it wasn't a good day and Ziggy was looking scared so we left.
Choir this evening. We're performing at the Marine Ballroom in Lyme Regis in a couple of weeks in aid of the RNLI at Lyme. One of the RNLI crew is my swimming coach and she was delighted when I told her.
