A grand day out

It is Wednesday, so the Haltwhistle walkers were out. The Intermediate group did a 7 mile circular from Low Row.

We parked in the large lay by beside the A69. It was cold, windy and noisy. Within 5 minutes of walking, we were in beautiful green countryside and it was peaceful with bird song as an accompaniment.

A lot of the walk was on tricky paths through the woods. There were a lot of wild flowers to see here and I had to be sure to concentrate on the tree roots and overhanging branches as well as looking at them..

My blip is of the River Irthing. The water is too low, but it still looked delightful.

This morning I took a phone call from V4, checking that my internet was installed and working well. Their customer service has been excellent.

We went back to The Samson in Gilsland and made happy, noisy conversation over our drinks.
