Ceanothus
The flowers are beginning to come out on my ceanothus, so I thought they merited a blip. A busy morning, I was in town first thing, then G popped down to help me to decide re the window quote (it's probably a no - I've got other higher priorities). I then started sorting out some things in the garage to take to the recycling centre on Friday. We have an annual amnesty day to take 'hazardous waste' (which has a wide definition) to one of the recycling centres nominated - for us there's only one in North Norfolk participating and that's just outside Fakenham. I've booked one of the 15 min slots for Friday morning (they disappear very quickly) as I've got two old fire extinguishers to dispose of and G had one as well, so I'm hoping to be able to dispose of all three. The rule is you can only take two per household, but after ringing the council I proposed taking G's with a note from her - we'll see if it works. I've also got other normal things to dispose of which the council said would be ok (I'm not convinced of that). So this morning I was trying to dismantle a 3ft high plastic storage 'shed' which was easy to slot together, but I needed to drill out the plastic bits that fitted the slots in order to dismantle it. Everything is all bagged up and ready to put in the car now. I finally gave up waiting for it to rain and put the sprinkler on the lawn and beds this afternoon and later watered the side garden with the hose.
