Sheringham Park to Weybourne
This morning after my Sainsbury's delivery, I met H for a walk at Sheringham Park. The rhododendrons are in full bloom and looking glorious (see Extra). We stopped on the route for a cuppa at Weybourne Station - so good that we can do this again after the railway's winter break. As always, I couldn't resist a photo of the steam engine leaving and travelling under the bridge, creating lots of smoke. This afternoon I edited photos whilst watching a recording of the VE Day 80 service from this morning. It was lovely to see the Royal Family spending so much time with the veterans again and also to see the 10 year old Alexander Churchill (great-great grandson of Sir Winston) perform his role in the service so well. I was a bit miffed that Sir Keir tried to steal the headlines by announcing the UK - US trade deal on the same day, surely after several years in the making that could wait a day. I'm looking forward to watching the concert from Horse Guards Parade this evening. I did think about going to Cromer to watch the beacon lighting, but it only looks to be a 20 min event.
