The Knitting pilgrim

I went to see a show at Bradford Carhedral this evening. It was by the Knitting Pilgrim, one man’s artistic and spiritual journey. A show that is all about knitting , and nothing about knitting at all. - or so the leaflet about it says.

It was very interesting with insights into arts funding, knitting, grants, and religion. The art isn’t revealed until the very end and is three large panels of knitted stained glasses depicting Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The talk discusses how similar the three are and is very thought provoking. The panels are absolutely superb, and if he is coming to your town it is well worth visiting.
