Another Iris
Hubby had an early appointment with the VA audiology clinic. They modified a few pieces and parts of his hearing aids. He can hear much better. I made breakfast and had my sandwich and fruit on the front porch. So many bird songs entertained me. After prayers, I took a walk around to find my blip. There were several candidates but I chose another bearded Iris. I took down all the hummingbird feeders, washed them and gave the hummers fresh nectar. Hubby was home by then and mowed the grass in our formal garden and trimmed other parts of our property. I planted white, yellow and red onions sets. My carrots , beets and cilantro are coming up. The lettuce is almost ready to pick. Not sure why I bought a six-pack of romaine this week. Hubby helped me put deer fencing around one of my gardens that’s filled with tiger lilies. Deer love them. I put up fencing around one of my gardens containing tall asters. Dear chomp on them also. We cleaned the gardens before installing the fencing. By then, we were both finished for the day. Hubby made his lunch while I showered and then we traded places. My sister with whom our mother is living came home from the hospital yesterday. I guess the infection is gone. Good news. We are going to River’s t-ball game in a few hours. But it’s now nap and foot resting time. Wishing you a productive day. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “The three petals of Iris flower are symbolic of faith, valor and wisdom. Truth, trust, horpe and royalty are other ideals that are connected with this flower.” - thoughtfultattoos.com
