Frilly Azalea

We both got up early. I had a long “honey do” list that required driving around the county. We ate breakfast, said our morning prayers and got ready. Our first stop was at the Stauffer Produce business. I bought annuals, herbs and vegetable plants. Couldn’t resist a quart of fresh strawberries that had just arrived. I also picked up a patio tomato for our mother. She loves having her own home grown tomatoes. We weren’t able to get everything on my list so we headed to Zimmerman’s Greenhouse and Produce. Finished getting all my treasures. The highlight of that visit was a speedwell plant, my first. We are going to get rid of a damaged evergreen in my front garden. The speedwell will replace it. We put all the items in the gazebo until I can plant them. I love this azalea that grows on one side of the gazebo. The blooms are large and wavy. After making a quick lunch, we went to the base for meds and specific groceries. Hubby had to pick up Brooklyn so he left me at the second grocery store. By the time he picked me up, I was sitting on a bench hoping I could walk to the van. I definitely wore the wrong shoes for walking on concrete floors. As soon as the last item was put away, I hit the recliners. We had to call in grandson Mancil to fix our tv. It worked fine last night. Somehow, we couldn’t find our cable provider’s icon. Mancil tried a few things and we figured out the problem was on the provider’s side. We somehow lost connectivity. Hubby rebooted it and the problem was solved. Geez! That is when I decided to plant my veggies and herbs. I now have tomatoes and peppers in my garden and herbs in the barrel. It is supposed to rain this evening and tomorrow; that will give them a good jump start. Hubby and I worked together to create a chef salad for dinner. I was delighted I did not gain weight in WV but salad must be on the menu plan again. Wishing you easy and healthy meals. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. "The perfect blossom is a rare thing.
