Pontevedra to Armenteira

It was a long hot day with a 22km walk, of which the final 7km was all uphill. However, it was often shady through forest. This is an old church we passed fairly early on. We also visited a monastery at Poio, and ended the day's walking at  Armenteira monastery. We were transferred by taxi to our accommodation for the night at Carballo de Prado 1900, a very pretty guest house quite high up in the hills.
We have now left the main Portuguese Camino and are  on the  Spiritual Variant route for a couple of days, which fewer people are taking.
