The 'railway garden' at the end of a busy Open Garden day.

(As I've told 30 people today...) this was originally the Victorian croquet lawn, then the tennis court, then evolved into what happens if you leave it for 40 years.

There is no shot of what this view was like when we arrived as all you'd see was the back of 20ft cherry laurel trees, brambles, nettles, elder, holly, ...
