A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME

We watched the VE concert on TV last night and rathe enjoyed it.  For me there two things missing, I would have like to have seen a full tune played by a miilitary band, not just accompanying singers plus The D Day Darlings - but they're both just preferences.  I did think it was good that they had modern songs and artistes too to keep it relevant  and interesting for the younger generation.  I loved how focussed it was on the war time generation, my Mum was an evacuee herself so it kinds of brings it home to you what she went through.

An early start this morning as we had to take one of the cars in to the garage at Flookburgh to get air con sorted out and it had to be there by 8.30.

That was duly done then came home to sorting out some photo files on the laptop.  I should have done some housework but I just wasn't in the mood, so it will keep for another day, sadly it doesn't just go away!!!!
