A beautiful flower
Sunny again today, with a gentle breeze. Haven't left the property today - I've been trying to get ready to go away first thing on Sunday - Daughter One and I are spending a few days at the Burren in County Clare, Ireland, and using only public transport. My daughter has organised most of the travelling and I've been printing out all the necessary bits and pieces - tickets, insurance, maps, leaflets etc.
I'm always impressed when somebody goes above the call of duty - it's so refreshing. I've mentioned several occasion while in London when somebody has gone out of their way to be helpful. This time it's happened before I've even got to Ireland! I've been trying to find out if there was a grocery in the village of Doolin, where we're staying for four nights, and eventually emailed the Tourist Office. I had a lovely reply from Ollie, telling me that the only food shop was at the local filling station, which was outside the village, up a hill with no pavements. If we needed help, she said, she would drive us up there and back! How very kind!
Otherwise I've done a bit of weeding and top-dressing, as well as sitting out in the sun. My Blip today is of a beautiful plant which at the moment is on the bench opposite the front door - a double form of Trillium grandiflorum called 'Snowbunting'.
