A good news day (after a terrible night's sleep with  fever dreams of planting asparagus). The powers that be have agreed to not just extend my post but make it permanent along with the service we have developed. So pleased. I had no idea where it would lead when I started but this is definitely where we hoped it would get to. 

Me and Fiona were going to go for a swim but she wasn't feeling great so instead I went back to the allotment and finished asparagus planting until it was dark. On the way home I passed Sam running round the track. He looked like he was loving it and it was a joy to catch a glimpse of him from a totally different angle.
