Black Rock 5

Once again it was time for the annual Black Rock Race.  A little over seven kilometres in total, five across the sands passing around the black rocks in the top-left.  It takes place every May or early June whenever a suitable tide coincides with a Friday evening.

This year it started later than usual, 19:45, so the light wasn't as good

It starts in the Fife village of Kinghorn and around 1200 competitors take part.

The winner, in a time of 22min 37sec, was Thomas Hilton of the Moorfoot Hill Club. (see 'extra')
