Rowing Belle

Going to try to sneak a quick blip while the 3 grandkids are hanging out in the inflatable after dinner, so I’m not at the computer, totally tired out, at 10PM as it’s been.

OK you saw it here first: future Olympic rower: 2024? :-) Niklas has decided he likes Belle, my lovely Dory (Isn't that a wonderful shape?) and is having a good time when he’s not hanging out in the inflatable. "Belle" was H's Canadian grandmother. An excellent old rowing coach I knew in Seattle said any 9 year old can row a dory (Nik is 10) and had 2 built for his boathouse and required every member to row around Lake Union in one.. No sliding seat, but the rowing stroke is instinctive here and the boat mives so well. Nik has it. He would be good with his body type if he wants to. That’s one......

Hot. Went swimming at the beach at the end of the bay - even I got in the water which amazingly didn’t freeze our toes. Couldn’t use the neighbor’s hot tub however as it was full of teenagers.....

The dinner conversation tonight was about OCD,( I had to ask what that was ---duh...) dyslexia, ADHD, and how brains work. Pretty interesting... Something unheard of when we were kids....these kids are so knowledgeable .

We are hanging in there - have plans for another beach tomorrow....and the hot tub.
