Lots of gardening

My son was here all day, working  from home.  In between meetings and phone calls, he came down to the kitchen for coffee, lunch, a chat. I went to the garden centre earlyish to get plants for my pots, and then spent a happy few hours planting them, adding fresh compost, and plant food.  A lovely job, I got about half of them done. The above blip is of a rhododendron which has lived in a big pot for about 10 years, every year these gorgeous flowers appear. 
I also sorted out  some seedlings that I’d planted quite a few weeks ago - to take them around to the hospice shop for their plant sale tomorrow. A nice day, mostly outdoors. 
In the evening my Orkney friends and I watched a powerful Irish film, Aisha, about a young Nigerian woman seeking asylum in Ireland, and having difficulty negotiating the system. Stars Letitia Wright and Josh O’Connor, who are both excellent
