Underneath the Spreading Chestnut Tree

Saltford Village VE Day 80 Afternoon Tea 

This photo sums up the lovely afternoon we had today. Booked a taxi and took Dad and C (family friend/elderly neighbour) to Saltford where we sat under the tree and enjoyed afternoon tea while listening to music of the era and watching a dance performance. Inside the village hall was a slideshow of local photos from WW2. Bumped into several familiar faces  Perfect weather, not too hot, and a lovely breeze.
