Phonebox Phraturday

After a very lazy morning, a long chat with my neighbour and some preparation of stickers for shunpikers, I had a lazy lunch and then in need of something to do, headed out on the motorbike into West Lothian again to look at phone boxes. As you do.

At Livingston South railway station I found one of those triangular KX300 kiosks, and a bit further west a KX100 Plus with the domed roof but no door. Apparently it's about to be removed because not enough people are using it these days. In West Calder I found a splendidly multi-coloured K6 with animals and harlequin pattern, but it was a Carron Company phonebox so I don't like it now. Finally I went to Seafield to see another K6 which is now a very well stocked library, and was also a Carron product.

Fifth phonebox of the four was the one outside Edinburgh Zoo. I've been meaning to look at it for ages. The maker's plate is hidden against the wall but inside found that it too was a Carron product.

With that I rode to Mum and Dad's for fish and chips, although I had sausage, and we did a wee slideshow since we'd been talking about bings in West Lothian, and Dad had some old photos. Riding home, my speedometer stopped working, so now I have to try to fix it before the holiday!
