Fossils

In some of the flagstones at Whiston Hospital there are many fossils. I worked at this hospital yet never noticed them! It was only a short time ago I noticed them and since then I share an earthcache (related to the fossils) with a young man who holds the record for the number of earthcaches that he has.
Been back to visit Terry. On arrival I found his oxygen lead on the floor under the bed in dust! I retrieved it for him and removed the dust as best I could. I cleaned his TV screen which was disgusting. I think someone used the floor rag on it after cleaning the whole ward.
There are no real changes in Terry apart from subtle ones. His IV fluids are down but the IV antibiotics continue. His temp was normal this morning. His abdomen looked a little less distended and he said his urine is paler now so these things suggest slight improvement rather than deterioration or stagnation.
He slept little again due to machines alarming, interruptions and noise, not to mention the ceiling light which is left on in his room all night.
I imagine they will want to do an MRCP next but we'll know more after he's been seen by the surgeons tomorrow.
He managed to shower himself this morning and feels better for it. His appetite is poor but he is trying to eat.
I've had a busyish day - mowed both lawns this morning and they look better for it. Did a bit of washing but not much and a bit of cleaning. Spent a good while at the hospital so that saw the afternoon off. Feel shattered now but not sure why - unless it's only 5 hours sleep! I don't understand why only 5 hours (according to my fitbit) when I was in bed for six and a half hours - I woke twice briefly but both times went back to sleep!
Another lovely day although a bit breezy. Not that we ae seeing much of it.
