A full day
Jess had a viewing at her property in Brampton this morning, it appeared to go well so fingers crossed.
Afterwards a trip into Carlisle to see the Masters of Print exhibition in Wilkinsons - well worth a visit.
And then on to Bowness on Solway looking for the Cumbria Wildlife Trust site, in the event due to road closures and general confusion I overshot and we arrived at RSPB Campfield Marsh - no matter that would do..
A walk around yielded masses of bird and dragonfly life,
There were 3 Ospreys cruising about , a Marsh Harrier, various Warblers, Oystercatchers, Lapwings and much else.
Blip came down to the best quality photo, the Whitethroat pipped it, Azure Damselfly a close second and then Ospreys and Marsh Harrier included for the high profiles over quality.
Comedy moment of the day was when I got my feet tangled in my camera bag and fell off a bench in a hide, an almighty crash rang out over the marsh, just previous to that I had been contemplating switching to silent shutter in case my camera continuous servo mode had been annoying people in the hide... I sort of glossed over things after that. - Jess was in hysterics.
Afterwards retreated to the Drovers Rest in Monkhill for a retrospective quaff before return to HQ to watch Wycombe v Charlton (div1 playoff first leg) 0-0 a poor game devoid of any quality.
Roll on Thursday for the return leg of mediocrity.
