Bluebell trail run
Another early start to get to Dalkeith country park for 9.30 as I had volunteered to Marshall at the Bluebell trail run organised by the MyPas charity which helps children with mental health issues in our local area.
Luckily my marshalling spot was relatively shaded so I didn’t get too much sun. All the participants were cheery and appreciative of our efforts to keep them in the right track as the 5K and 10k runners followed the sane route.
The winner of the 5K finished in a shade over 18 minutes with the 10K winner taking a more sedate (haha) 39 minutes. All over by 12.30 so I headed home to relax with my crochet before meeting Paz and Ramos at 5 for a walk round Newbattle. Lovely to catch up.
Threw together a pasta dish with salami that needed to be used up, courgette, mushrooms, spring onions, garlic, passata and sour cream with a bit of cheese. Surprisingly tasty!
