The second of two days of joy
I was a bit worried about sleeping whilst away, but I had no such worries. I slept well in L&L's comfortable spare room. They had a much more disturbed night as EAJS kept them awake for a substantial part of the night. As a result, she slept for a good two hours this morning, a good part of that keep me (happily) trapped whilst L got on with making breakfast and getting changed, and the other L caught up on some sleep herself.
It is an industrial scale operation to get EAJS out of the door, but we managed it to meet friends S and G at a local pub for a Sunday roast. EAJS was calm for a while, but then found the inside of the restaurant too noisy and hot, I think, and as a result, she had to be taken out round the park across the way, where she entertained the Sunday afternoon crowd by demonstrating that her lungs are in good order. By the time I went out to try and help, she had fallen asleep again, so I walked her round the park in the pram for a while and then fed her. By that stage, we were all ready to go home again, where G and S joined us for iced coffees before they set off to run some errands in central and north London. Soon thereafter, I followed to get the train home. Unsurprisingly, I fell asleep in the train, which was very quiet after Newcastle. A quick taxi home completed the day, and I was just about in bed by midnight.
