Well Dressing, Malvern

This morning B, S and I walked up Happy Valley stopping to look at the well dressing at St Anne’s Well, then towards North Hill and Worcestershire Beacon. The views up here are spectacular. Eastwards is Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, the Vale of Evesham, Breedon Hill and the Cotswold Ridge. Westwards is Herefordshire and Wales, the Black Mountains, Forest of Dean and Brecon Beacons.

Then along the ridge some way before dropping down to Upper Colwall and a pint at The Chase pub. From there to Colwall Stone and the railway station, to catch a train back to Great Malvern. One of Englands best kept stations. When built only first class passengers could disembark here - Great Malvern was that kind of place.

We then walked into the town centre, stopping at the Priory to listen to a choir rehearsing Faure’s Requiem for tonight’s performance. Then more uphill to B and S’s house. Friends L and R are joining us this evening.

The blip image is of a lady filling containers with Malvern Spring water. The various wells along the spring line have been dressed for the week. This one is 100 metres down the hill from my hosts house.

It’s been a busy weekend so I am yet again catching up on Blipfoto
