Silver Winged
I went to Risley Moss at lunchtime to see how the new(ish) pools at the mini moss are developing. The answer is - very well. There were lots of chasers - broad bodied and four spotted - chasing each other (they are aptly named), as well as lots of damselflies pairing off.
I walked up to the viewing area over the main moss, where a group of people were firmly settled. The big attraction at this time of the year are hobbies (the swift-like falcon), and several were hawking for dragonflies, although not close enough to photograph.
The image is a male broad bodied chaser.
