Sammy at Seventeen

A beautiful sunny day, warm again, about 19⁰c top temperatures.  Clouded over in the afternoon, which cooled, but a sunny evening.

Another day working on my own, more pressure washing bus shelters.  I was at Bixter, Skeld and Twatt.  I also had an overflowing litter bin emergency clean up in Nesting to sort.  Nipped to the supermarket after work.  Megan popped by at teatime.  A few things sorted in the garden, then down to Laura's, walkies too.  Feet up at home now.

It's Sammy's fifteenth gotcha day today, I can hardly believe it was all that time ago when he arrived off the boat from Mrs Murray's rescue centre.  Having been a stray, the vet aged him as two back then, so I say it's also his seventeenth birthday today as well.  Age has caught up this past year.  Sammy's eyes aren't as bright and almost blind, but he still has a sparkle, walkies are shorter, walkies are slower, but walkies are still wanted.  He's still up for an adventure, but sadly the days of hiking through the hills are gone, same as chasing rabbits.  A much loved old happy Sammy, sitting outside the old Manse, Mail, Cunningsburgh.
