Slubbing Billys
The final day of Holmfirth Festival of Folk dawned sunny and very warm. I did a few household chores before going into the town with MrM, where he went to an Irish music session while I wandered round watching the dancing. The host dance side, Slubbing Billys, were in fine form (main Blip). Also watched Bradshaw Mummers (extra).
Met up with MrM again, and we watched our friends from Rhubarb Tarts, sadly now disbanded, perform as 'Regency Rhubarb'. Then to Nowhere Bar to watch a band, and sample some excellent local cider. Finally we walked to the park to see some other friends playing music with Panache, before parting company. MrM drove away to play at a ceilidh in Skipton, while I walked home to wrestle with the hosepipe in the hope that newly planted plants will survive the heat...
