Cygnets
Seeing the swans drifting by, with their cygnets¹ was beautiful, and encouraging as it means that nesting season is done for the year, but the swans will still be overprotective until their young are older.
Little Man and I have had a very good day. Little Man had nursery this morning and so i dropped him off and biked to Waarder, where the nearest supermarket is. My life group is serving tea and coffee after church on Sunday. Everyone in the life group brings biscuits and the like with them to share with everyone. So I did that this morning, and I'd hoped to withdraw some money from my bank account for the local Rommelmarkt jumble sale² tomorrow but the display screen on the ATM was showing an unusual screen so I decided not to risk using it. I'll make the withdrawal tomorrow.
I collected Little Man from nursery and we headed home. We spent the day hanging out. Little Man had a lot of fun making mischief and I kept having to fish him out of said mischief. He's becoming bossier and loves telling me what to do. Its really funny.
¹Cygnets is the official name for baby swans.
²Street jumble sales are part of the tradition here in the Netherlands. Twice a year, or so, everyone will sell their things, on a specific date, either on market stalls or in their front gardens. I've been able to find some amazing deals for Little Man and myself before.
