Busy Blue Tits

My blue tit nestlings are very vocal, it can't be long until they fledge. I spent some time capturing the busy parents feeding them and cleaning the nest. I'm quite pleased with above shot as I remember a photographer mate telling me that the most difficult in-flight shots to nail are those when the bird is flying straight towards the camera. I'm pleased that I've got the eyes in focus. The poor bird is a bit of a mess. I was happy this evening when I saw it taking time out for a bath.

The shot in extras is taken from the side and I like the fan of the bird's wings.

Sorting through CDs again and found the copy that MrQ had made of a cassette that I recorded of our children playing their recorders, singing, telling jokes, reciting poetry and reading from Dickens for their grandparents as a Christmas present when they were six and seven. My mother-in-law loved that cassette and took it with her everywhere. We found it in the wreckage of the van after the accident that killed my sister-in-law and badly injured her.
