Phrenzied Phriday

I probably shouldn't drink proper coffee. I spent all day with my brain going a billion miles an hour, so although I got a ton of work done, I completely ran out of steam by late afternoon and couldn't think straight anymore.

So I logged off and sat in the sun for a few minutes trying to decompress. I'd had a rubbish night's sleep and ought to have gone for a lie down but no, I went back into le garage and put the Africa Twin's bodywork back together and test rode it. Well, the good news was that the speedometer now works again, but shucks, the front wheel was still squint. I asked the internet, I loosened things, yanked things, tightened things, loosened things again, yanked and tightened things, said some more rude words, loosened things yet again and eventually set to with ratchet straps to see if I could straighten the wheel and then tighten all the bolts. It kind of worked but I don't like to do it that way; I also don't remember how I fixed the problem last time.

My neighbour's little ones were very interested though and came to see what I was doing in the garage, and they said my workbench was very messy. From the mouths of babes, eh?

I finished up in a hurry because I was getting a migraine. Bah. I've not had one for quite a while.

No phonebox for Phriday so all you get is the other prickly bush in the garden that the bees love in summer and the birds love in the autumn when the blue berries come out. Come to think of it, almost all of the things growing in my garden are prickly, even the weeds.

Not long to go before I get to finish up with work for a fortnight and motor off south on holiday with lovely bestie. I can barely wait.
