Little rose
Little Rose, peeps from
the hedge and bestows webs;
spiders and scratches.
We put a drive onto the front of our house when we moved in ten years ago or so. I was adamant that we would keep as much of the garden as possible, the pavers thought I was crazy, asking them to work around the established bushes and trees we had but I was stubbornly sure.. it does however mean that every time I get into the driver's seat of the car I have to duck under the rhododendron, skirt the lilac and just when I think I'm home free because there's just privet to navigate.. there's a protruding rose that offers a good starting point for a spider's web or launch pad for an intrepid beetle or just to give you a little scrape 'Hello!' In the rain it's even worse, as you get drips from all the aforementioned beauties! I love it though, best of both worlds.. kept the nature but I can park outside my front door!
Not much else to say: little dog walk; chat with my Dad; batch of bolognese made for the freezer; lunch with Mr KCNQ2Haiku; quick chat with my lovely neighbour who is now back home and moving about gently :-) and then it was time to fetch Ben.
Now it's time for electronic banking monopoly. If you haven't experienced this.. you really should!
